Description of Raft Cove Provincial Park:
Wilderness camping on the beach is popular at this park, as is surfing, fishing and hiking. During low tides, long shore walks over rock and beach can be made north or south of Raft Cove, at the edge of the pounding Pacific surf. Access to the beach from the road is via a rugged 2-km route that cuts through coastal old-growth forest of hemlock, western red cedar and Sitka spruce. This unmaintained route has some challenging sections and is extremely muddy in areas. Wilderness, backcountry (beach) or walk-in camping is allowed, but no facilities other than simple pit toilets and food caches are provided. There is no camping fee. This park is accessible year round.

Rathtrevor is ideal for a relaxed family outing. Simply sit back and soak up the seaside atmosphere or take a walk through the wooded upland area of the park. All campsites are within a 5-minute walk to the 2 km stretch of sandy beach. The park also features a large day-use area, perfect for an afternoon picnic.

Read Island Provincial Park encompasses old-growth and second-growth forest, bog and fertile lowlands and protects important high density Bald eagle habitat. Octopus Islands is part of the BC Marine Trail Association network – a series of campsites, resting areas and safe havens designed and cared for by recreational boaters and paddlers. Once connected, this marine trail will extend from Vancouver to Prince Rupert and down into Puget Sound. Wildlife and nature enthusiasts will enjoy a visit to Read Island, located off the tip of Quadra Island. Visitors to the park will find plenty to do, including rustic hiking, kayaking, wilderness camping and swimming at Rosen Lake.

Description of Raft Cove Provincial Park:
Wilderness camping on the beach is popular at this park, as is surfing, fishing and hiking. During low tides, long shore walks over rock and beach can be made north or south of Raft Cove, at the edge of the pounding Pacific surf. Access to the beach from the road is via a rugged 2-km route that cuts through coastal old-growth forest of hemlock, western red cedar and Sitka spruce. This unmaintained route has some challenging sections and is extremely muddy in areas. Wilderness, backcountry (beach) or walk-in camping is allowed, but no facilities other than simple pit toilets and food caches are provided. There is no camping fee. This park is accessible year round.

On Rock Lake, 2 km/1 mi south of Crowsnest Highway 3 between Galloway and Elko, the camp is on 194 hectares (480 acres). There are treed unserviced sites with firewood, picnic tables, water, and dry toilets. Guests enjoy swimming, walking trails, creek fishing, bird watching and finding wild flowers. Cyclists welcome. Pets on leash.

Roberts Creek Provincial Park (Swens Contracting), Sechelt, BC

Description of Roberts Creek Provincial Park (Swens Contracting):
This park is separated into a separate campground and day use area and is located 14 km west of Gibsons and 12 km south of Sechelt. The camping area is located in forest of large cedars, Douglas fir and Hemlock trees. At low tide the cobblestone ocean beach at the picnic area is a good viewing area for sea stars, mussels and oysters or for watching whales, seals and ducks (in winter) offshore. There is tidal fishing available for salmon and cod. This park offers vehicle accessible campsites on a first-come, first-served basis - campsite reservations are not accepted. There are 21 gravel sites, one of which is a double site. There are no pull-through sites. There is limited parking for extra vehicles.
