The old-growth forested mountains provide opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing and nature appreciation, while the flat beach areas along the shorelines of Bishop Creek provide opportunities for rustic camping, picnicking and other day-use activities. Marine access camping is also available on the south side of Granite Falls. The shoals around Raccoon and Twin Islands offer good scuba diving. Visitors can also enjoy limited, rustic camping on Twin Islands. The Indian River supports five species of salmon, sea-run cutthroat, and small steelhead populations. The estuary is vital habitat for prawns and crab. A wide variety of rockfish and other bottom fish are available. |

Itcha Ilgachuz is a wilderness park set aside to protect alpine grasslands, wetlands, and wildlife habitat, including the largest herd of woodland caribou in southern BC. There is room for two vehicles at each site and extra parking is available for a fee. Wilderness, backcountry or walk-in camping is allowed, but there are no facilities provided. There are three walk-in campsites on Anthony Island. The hike in is approximately 3 kilometres. Camping is on the bare ground. Please camp in designated sites. There are pit toilets available. There is a designated fire ring for campfires; you will need to pack in your own firewood. Trout fishing is available. Spring is said to be best after April 1st. Catch and release in effect.
